From May to October 2026, it held a bike meet at its community garden in Whitwell on the first Friday of every month, and Hotline Promotional Products sponsored a supply of Ad Loop Keyrings printed with the dates, so bikers could keep a reminder on their keys. The charity has welcomed familiar faces back each month alongside new visitors, and says the keyrings have been a fantastic way of promoting its bike meets. Some people even asked where the keyrings came from, so the charity shared Hotline's website details with them.

A community garden for all ages and abilities
Just Good Friends Club's community garden in Whitwell is a place where people of all ages and abilities can meet, socialise and learn new skills. The charity adopted the once disused and overgrown land next to Whitwell train station, and Bolsover District Council describes the result as "a beautiful community space and sensory garden".
The charity's members, who are adults with learning disabilities, help maintain and care for the garden, which gives them a real sense of pride and ownership. The wider community enjoys it too, through free summer activities for children, yoga, school planting days, scavenger hunts and Christmas stalls, and the garden's Snack Shack serves drinks and snacks. As the charity explains:
It's lovely to see so many different people enjoying the space together.
Bringing bikers together, one Friday at a time
Just Good Friends Club's bike meets ran at the garden on the first Friday of every month from May to October 2026, giving bikers a relaxed, welcoming space to meet and socialise. Many motorcycle meets are organised around club membership, so the charity opened its meets to bikers from different clubs and to those who aren't part of one.
The meets have also introduced the garden to people who hadn't known it was there, and given the charity a chance to tell them about its work. As the charity puts it:
For us, it's about more than bikes: it's about friendship, community and giving people a reason to return.

With a meet every month, the charity wanted a simple way to help bikers remember the dates and come back. That's where the keyrings we sponsored came in.
A practical giveaway that keeps event dates handy
Just Good Friends Club chose keyrings because bikers could pop one onto their bike keys and always have a handy reminder of the next date. As the charity explained:
Unlike a leaflet that might get misplaced, it's something they can keep and use every day. We thought it was a simple way to encourage people to come back each month.
We supplied our Ad Loop Keyring, a lightweight, flexible plastic loop with the bike meet details printed around its ribbon. Wessex Volleyball Club used a keyring in place of paper too, at its 50th anniversary weekend in July 2026, when custom Silicone Ad Loop keyrings served as admission passes and then stayed on people's keys.
The charity handed the keyrings out at its monthly bike meets, made them available in the garden's Snack Shack for visitors to take away, and took them along to other promotional events to spread the word about the meets. They mainly went to bikers, but other visitors could pick them up too.
Their practical design proved popular, and some people wanted to know where the keyrings came from:
Everyone we've handed them out to has thought they were a great idea, particularly because they're practical and can stay on their bike keys. Some people even asked where we got them from, so we were happy to share the website details for Hotline Promotional Products for them to look up.
Helping visitors return and discover something new
The bike meets have brought familiar faces back to the garden each month alongside new visitors, and the charity says the keyrings have played their part:
The keyrings have been a handy reminder of when the monthly bike meets take place. We've seen bikers returning to the meets, and having the dates on their bike keys makes it easy to check when the next one is.
Some bikers have since visited the garden during its usual opening hours, just to enjoy it:
Many told us they hadn't known it existed and planned to come back more often, especially after learning that it supports a charity. That's a real achievement for us.
The keyrings are only one part of how the charity promotes its meets, but they've given bikers a useful, lasting reminder of the dates.
Growing opportunities at Staveley Community Centre
Just Good Friends Club has taken over the management of Staveley Community Centre, on High Street in Staveley, Chesterfield, and wants it to be a welcoming, inclusive and affordable space for the whole community. Taking it on means the charity can build on the work it already does and offer even more ways for people to get involved.
The centre is welcoming the local Brownies and Slimming World, a homeschooling club is starting, and the charity has recently begun an arrangement with the local NHS to hold promotional days. The charity is also in the process of receiving heritage funding to replace or restore the centre's windows and doors:
As the centre is a listed building, caring for its character while keeping it useful for the community is important to us.
The charity also has activities planned for the half-term and Christmas school holidays, including Halloween events, wreath making and clay pot making, and it's looking forward to continuing its monthly bike meets.
Why community sponsorship matters
Support from businesses makes a huge difference to a charity like Just Good Friends Club, because donations of products, services and time help it reach more people and keep its activities going. The charity was particularly appreciative of the keyrings:
Hotline Promotional Products very kindly donated our Ad Loop Keyrings, which have been a fantastic way of promoting our bike meets. We're incredibly grateful for their generosity and for everyone who helps support our members and wider community.
